Biography

Chuck Gray is an American political leader and the 24th Secretary of State of Wyoming, elected in 2022 to lead one of the state’s most critical constitutional offices. As Wyoming’s chief elections official, Gray administers statewide elections, certifies results, and oversees business registrations, trade names, trademarks, and the regulation and enforcement of the state’s securities laws. He also serves on the State Loan and Investment Board, the Board of Land Commissioners, and the State Building Commission.

Before serving statewide, Gray represented House District 57 in the Wyoming House of Representatives for three terms, where he earned a reputation as a committed conservative and effective legislator. In his first session, he was the lead sponsor of landmark legislation including an ultrasound bill — the first pro-life law passed in Wyoming in three decades — and Wyoming’s voter ID law, both reflecting his focus on life and election integrity issues. During his time in the legislature, he served on key committees including Minerals, Business & Economic Development; Agriculture, State and Public Lands; Revenue; Judiciary; and Management Audit.

Gray’s leadership has been recognized by conservative organizations; he has received multiple CPAC awards for his consistent conservative voting record and the Wyoming Right to Life Platinum Award for his pro-life advocacy.

A lifelong public servant with deep roots in both policy and community engagement, Gray brings clarity, conviction, and a principled approach to governance. His tenure as Secretary of State underscores his dedication to secure elections, transparent government, and the protection of individual liberties under the U.S. Constitution.
