Aerial Recovery Formalizes Regional Operations with Launch of Fundación Aerial Recovery Ecuador
First International Chapter Strengthens Latin American Response Capacity Through Permanent In-Country Presence
Nashville, TN / Quito, Ecuador — Aerial Recovery, a veteran-led nonprofit that has conducted humanitarian, disaster response, and anti-human trafficking operations worldwide for years, announced this week the formal launch of Fundación Aerial Recovery Ecuador, its first fully registered international chapter.
While Aerial Recovery has operated across borders in response to both natural disasters and human trafficking for half a decade, the establishment of Fundación Aerial Recovery Ecuador marks a strategic evolution by creating a permanent, in-country organization that increases efficiency, reduces operational costs, strengthens government coordination, and accelerates response throughout Latin America.
Fundación Aerial Recovery Ecuador will operate under the same ethos, operational standards, and mission philosophy as Aerial Recovery, while benefiting from direct organizational support in training, mission planning, and execution. The chapter also enables Ecuadorians to directly support the mission financially and through volunteer service, ensuring resources are stewarded locally and efficiently.
Immediate Impact, Sustainable Growth
The Ecuadorian team has already demonstrated meaningful impact, including feeding more than 380 children daily, partnering with law enforcement to lay the groundwork for rescuing victims of human trafficking, and disrupting organized criminal networks. Formal registration now allows these efforts to scale with greater accountability and sustainability.
As part of this milestone, Ricardo José Carrión, President of Fundación Aerial Recovery Ecuador, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ecuador's Ministry of the Interior, formally establishing cooperation with national authorities to support anti-human trafficking operations, disaster response, and public safety initiatives.
"This moment is deeply humbling for my wife and me. We have been privileged to serve alongside extraordinary people around the world, and seeing this work formalized through Fundación Aerial Recovery Ecuador is something we approach with gratitude and great responsibility.
This is not about beginning global operations: we have been doing that for years. This is about the work becoming a force multiplier. By establishing a registered nonprofit in Ecuador, we are empowering Ecuadorians to stand shoulder to shoulder with us by supporting the mission both financially and with their time, while also reducing costs and increasing operational efficiency. Stewarding donations wisely has always been one of my highest priorities, and this structure allows us to maximize every dollar entrusted to us.
We are incredibly blessed to have such a professional, honorable, and respected team of Ecuadorian leaders guiding this chapter. These men have dedicated their lives to protecting others at the highest levels of military, law enforcement, and government service. Their integrity and experience give us complete confidence that the mission will be carried forward with excellence.
With formal partnerships, trusted leadership, and shared values, we are positioned to respond faster, work smarter, and ultimately save more lives."
